Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  What information do I need to make an initial appointment?

A:  Patient's first & last name, date of birth, address, telephone number, and insurance information.

Q:  When should I see a Podiatrist?

A:  It is advisable to visit a Podiatrist if you are experiencing foot pain of any kind, diabetes, sores, wounds, infections, circulation problems or if you are elderly or disabled.  It is also a good idea to schedule an appointment with a Podiatrist for general foot care (i.e., toenail trimming, corns, calluses, etc.)

Q:  If I have diabetes, should I see a Podiatrist?

A:  Proper foot care is critical for people with diabetes.  Diabetes can lead to many different types of foot complications, including Athlete's Foot (fungal infection), calluses, bunions, and other foot deformities. Diabetes can also lead to an ulceration that can range from a surface wound to a deep infection.  More serious, untreated complications may lead to amputation.

Q:  How often does Medicare pay for nail trimming?

A:  Medicare will cover this service once every 61 days, if your condition meets Medicare guidelines.  Most common conditions that fit this criteria include diabetes, swelling of legs, and/or circulation problems.

Q:  Do you accept credit cards?

A:  Yes, we accept all major credit cards, in addition to personal checks and cash payments.
